Professional Skin Care
Prevent and Remove Stretchmarks and
ScarsWe have three
layers of skin: the epidermis, or outer layer; the dermis, or
middle layer; and the subcutaneous stratum, or deepest layer.
Stretch Marks (also known as striae graridarum) occur in the
dermis, the elastic, resilient middle layer that allows skin to
retain its shape. If stretch marks formed on the skin's surface,
they'd be much easier to treat. When the dermis is constantly
stretched over time, the skin becomes less elastic and the
connective fibers break. The result is the markings we know as
stretch marks.
Acne Scarring
The heat from the Laser Genesis treatment
stimulates something called a fibroblast response in the dermis
to produce collagen. This new collagen fills in around the
scars to reduce the uneven skin texture and large pores that
usually accompany skin that suffers with acne. A subtle
improvement will be visible with each passing treatment.
Generally 6-8 treatments are needed to dramatically improve
texture, and products are used to augment the effects of the
Genesis treatments.
Fine
Lines/Wrinkles
The collagen stimulated by the Laser
Genesis treatment also plumps out fine lines like the ones
around the eyes and over the lips. Again improvements occur
with each passing treatment, and 3-6 treatments are required to
achieve a lasting result.
Photo-Rejuvenation
We’ve included this category because it is
one that is widely equated with laser enhancement of the face.
The exact definition varies from practice to practice, but it
generally translates into an improvement in texture, coloring,
tone, and moisture. At Forever Young Skin, we use the typical
IPL hand-piece along with the Laser Genesis hand-piece to create
a visible improvement in all of these categories on the first
visit. Again 4-6 sessions are recommended to get impressive
results that have and longevity as well. For DRAMATIC results we
use the TITAN™ technology to add tightening and cover all the
issues of the face.
